TikTok Shop UK shipping fees: budget for the 1 November rates

Measure the packed parcel and use the rate that applies to its delivery date and your account's volume tier.

TikTok Shop UK shipping fees change for Shipped via Platform deliveries from 1 November 2026. For a mainland parcel within 45 × 35 × 16 cm and 2 kg, standard pickup rises from £2.95 to £3.20, excluding VAT. The cutoff is the delivery date, so an order dispatched in October can incur the new rate. At 500 parcels in that tier, the increase alone adds £125 before VAT.

The short version

  • The new Shipped via Platform card applies to orders delivered on or after 1 November 2026, including orders dispatched earlier.
  • Use your confirmed pickup tier. This month's sales forecast does not earn this month's volume discount.
  • Build the fulfilment budget from postage, parcel mix, remote destinations, packaging and handling; record buyer shipping receipts separately.

The official Shipped via Platform rate card specifies the delivery-date rule. This guide covers domestic UK platform shipping. Fulfilled by TikTok, your own courier contract and cross-border delivery have different cost structures.

Selected mainland seller rates, excluding VAT. The two pickup columns use the standard base rate, without a volume discount.

The remote-area supplement is £1.50 per parcel, excluding VAT. Check the destination classification before quoting delivery. For heavier or bulky parcels, use the full official card rather than extending one of these rows.

Check the pickup tier before forecasting a discount

TikTok bases the volume category on packages delivered through Shipped via Platform and charged in the previous calendar month. The published bands are 601–3,000, 3,001–15,000 and 15,001 or more. There is no retrospective rebate simply because the current month's volume crosses a band.

Keep two separate assumptions in the forecast: the rate confirmed for your account now and any lower rate you expect later. A promotion might increase orders this week while the higher postage charge still applies. Check the tier displayed in Seller Center before changing a product's shipping allowance.

A 500-parcel budget: the rate increase is only one line

Consider a hypothetical month with 500 delivered orders, one parcel per order, all on standard pickup rates. Assume 300 parcels fit the 45 × 35 × 16 cm / 2 kg tier, 125 fit the larger 2 kg tier, and 75 use the 2–5 kg tier. These are chosen inputs, not typical UK seller costs.

61 × 46 × 46 cm; up to 2 kg125£395.00£426.25

That is £125 more for the same work. Now assume 50 of the 500 destinations attract the £1.50 supplement, packaging costs £0.40 per order and packing labour costs £0.60 per order. Add £75, £200 and £300 respectively. Total outbound fulfilment becomes £2,343.75, or £4.6875 per order. A rounded planning input is £4.69, before returns, other selling costs and any recoveries.

Using £3.20 for every order would understate this example's outbound budget by £743.75: £2,343.75 minus £1,600. The missing amount comes from the parcel mix and operating costs as well as the headline tariff. Replace each assumption with warehouse and statement data before using the result.

Also count parcels separately from orders. If 500 orders need 550 labels, each charged at an assumed £3.20, postage alone averages £3.52 per order: 550 × £3.20 ÷ 500. Bundles and split shipments can change the denominator enough to make a seemingly precise per-order input wrong.

Separate buyer shipping receipts from delivery expense

A shopper's delivery payment and your carrier charge are separate flows. With a £3.20 seller charge, a chosen £1.99 buyer payment and no platform incentive, the shipping shortfall is £1.21 on a consistent VAT-exclusive basis. With free delivery and no incentive, the seller bears the £3.20. Packing and handling still need funding in either case.

The UK financial statements guide separates the carrier charge, buyer shipping income, platform incentives and reversals. Count an incentive only when the order qualifies and the credit is confirmed. Its commission formula also includes customer-paid shipping, so a positive shipping balance alone is not a profit calculation.

When comparing your own courier with platform shipping, include any service fee that belongs to that fulfilment method. The financial guide lists a £0.50 VAT-inclusive Shipped-by-Seller fee per delivered package; Shipped via Platform and FBT are exempt from that particular charge. Adding it to an SVP label would double-count a fee that does not apply.

Measure the packed parcel before creating the label

A lightweight item in a thick box can miss the Large Letter tier. Measure the outer package after packing, including protective material and any bulge. Weigh that finished package too. Changing the product's own weight will not correct an inaccurate box size.

TikTok's parcel weight and size guide explains how to edit package information before printing and save packaging presets under Logistics → Fulfilment → Parcel settings. Check third-party integrations as well: the dimensions reaching the label request need to match the package the courier receives.

Incorrect declarations can trigger a tariff correction plus a £3.50 handling fee, excluding VAT. As an illustration, if a standard-pickup parcel is charged £2.60 but should be £3.20, the £0.60 difference plus £3.50 produces a £4.10 adjustment. That single error is much larger than the 25p rate increase in the example above.

A saved preset is not permission to exceed the service limits. The SVP service guide lists maximum weights of 30 kg for pickup and 20 kg for drop-off, a 120 cm maximum length and a 225 cm maximum girth, defined as length + 2 × (width + height). Check both size and weight before buying packaging in bulk.

Reconcile the first November deliveries before repricing everything

Take a small sample across parcel sizes, destinations and fulfilment methods. Match the order and package identifiers to the delivery date, declared measurements, applied tier and final charge. Then check buyer shipping income, incentives, refunds and any later adjustment against the same identifiers. A month's settlement total can contain entries from different order cohorts.

Export the statement from Finance → Statements and inspect the fee explanation tab, following TikTok's financial guide. Keep a separate allowance for expected returns; the outbound tariff is not an all-in return-cost estimate. For the broader platform and creator deductions, use our TikTok Shop UK fees guide.

In Marqflow, build the fulfilment cost from the postage, packaging and handling your orders actually need. Enter customer-paid shipping in its separate field and check the amount you retain. Use a consistent tax basis for the whole model. Compare the current offer with free delivery using the same parcel mix, product cost, creator terms and return assumptions.

  1. Confirm the account's pickup tier and the rate applicable to deliveries around 1 November.
  2. Measure the most-used packaging and correct label presets or integration data.
  3. Weight the budget by actual parcel mix and remote destinations; count labels as well as orders.
  4. Check the first settled deliveries against the forecast, including later adjustments and incentive reversals.
  5. Change the price or delivery offer only after comparing the resulting contribution per order.
Frequently asked questions

Questions sellers ask

Does the new UK shipping rate depend on the order or delivery date?

The rate card says the new rates apply to orders delivered on or after 1 November 2026. An October order or dispatch can therefore fall under the new tariff.

Do these TikTok Shop UK postage rates include VAT?

No. The seller rate card and postage examples here exclude VAT. Check the invoice and your business's tax treatment before turning a tariff into a cash-cost or profit-model input.

Is the label price enough for a fulfilment cost per order?

Include the actual parcel mix, remote supplements, packaging and handling, and divide total cost by orders. If one order needs several labels, count each label. Keep buyer shipping receipts and any confirmed platform incentive separate so neither is counted twice.
